2015-16 STRATEGIC PLAN ADDENDUM

The district is committed to continuous improvement. The Board, staff and administration establish annual goals consistent with the District’s Vision Statement. Progress toward meeting these goals is an ongoing process, which is evaluated and refined annually.

Vision

Utilizing a Professional Learning Community (PLC) model and Educator Effectiveness Practices, increase overall student achievement and reduce the achievement gap for students in disaggregated groups as measured by local, state and national assessment indicators.

Goal Indicators Measures Targets
Identify the essential learning outcomes for each grade level content area and the essential skills for College and Career Readiness

Teachers utilize common core standards to identify essential learning outcomes at their grade level and specific subject area.

Teachers will utilize College and Career Readiness standards to prepare all students to graduate ready for future success.

Develop and use common measures to assess student acquisition of essential learning outcomes Teachers will develop and use common formative assessments multiple times per year in each content area. Common formative assessments All grade level and content teachers

Teachers will provide research based prevention and intervention for students who have not mastered essential learning outcomes.

Teachers will provide enrichment for students who have mastered essential learning outcomes.

Create Student Learning Objective & Professional Practice Goal (teachers) targeting student achievement

Create School Learning Objective & Professional Practice Goal (principals) targeting student achievement

Teachers may request formative feedback from principal or Educator Effectiveness Coach.

Principals may request formative feedback from administrator or peers.

Teachers and Principals self-score annually in Teachscape online tool All grade level and content teachers and all principals
Increase the percentage of students scoring at or above benchmark on state literacy and math assessments Teachers will utilize assessment results to inform instruction and to improve teaching and learning. PALS, STAR, ACT Suite Each grade or subgroup scoring at or above benchmark
