4th GRADE ELEMENTARY TEACHER

The Waterloo School District has a 4th grade position vacancy for a full-time teacher in an elementary classroom for 2017-2018 school year.  Elementary bilingual experience preferred.  Individual should have the skills to teach in an active, hands-on and student-centered approach using differentiated instruction.  Background in Response to Intervention, English Language Learner, Daily 5, Guided Reading, and Character Education/PBIS models is a plus.  Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment. 

Department of Public Instruction certification in elementary and the developmental level of Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence or 1-6 required.  Licenses Elementary 1088, 1083/Regular Education 1777.

TWO CROSS-CATEGORICAL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

The Waterloo School District is seeking energetic individuals for Two Cross-Categorical Special Education teaching positions. (EA-A, EC-A) (2.0 FTE).
Qualifications:  The Waterloo School District is seeking an individual who will engage students in the learning process. Candidates should be organized, flexible, have strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate services for students with disabilities in a continuum of service models. The successful candidate will be able to: demonstrate knowledge and skills regarding assessment of emotional behavioral and learning disabilities, effective instructional techniques, positive behavioral interventions, and best practice for students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities; work collaboratively with colleagues as a positive and substantial contributor to the school district.

Middle School English- Language Arts TEACHER

The Waterloo School District is seeking a Middle School English-Language Arts teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.   Candidates should demonstrate collaboration skills with teachers and principals.  The candidate should demonstrate asset-based perspectives with students from low-income families, students labeled with a disability, and students who are culturally linguistically diverse.   Candidate must hold or be certifiable with a Wisconsin Licensure 1088 Elementary/Middle Level Education, 1777 (MC-EA) Middle Childhood - Early Adolescence or 1300 Early Adolescence-Adolescence certification is required.  This position would primarily be working with students in 7th and 8th grades.  Strong candidates should be able to collaborate with ESL, regular, and special education teachers.  They should be able to differentiate curriculum to meet individual needs, organize, develop, implement, and assess students. Candidates should also be able to develop constructive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.  School initiatives include Character Education, PBIS, RtI, working in professional learning communities, and technology integration.
