Geography 7

7th Grade: Eastern Hemisphere (Geography throughout Modern History)

Students will encounter many unique and assorted cultures on their journey through the World’s Eastern Hemisphere. The five themes of Geography will be their vehicle as they set off to uncover the vast wonders of Asia, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and Europe. Map skills, technology and current events will also be integrated into the curriculum.

8th Grade: Civics

Students will study the principles, functions, and organization of government; the origins of the American political system; the roles, rights, responsibilities of United States citizens; and methods of active participation in our political system. The course is embedded with strong geographic and economic components to support civic education instruction. Map skills, technology, and current events will also be integrated into the curriculum.
