Students need to stay home if they have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results.
Students need to stay home if they have been exposed to COVID-19 and have not been vaccinated.  As long as they have been vaccinated AND DO NOT HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS, they may attend school.

**Consult your doctor to see if they recommend an office visit, testing for Covid-19, or just home isolation/quarantine.

My student has allergies; that’s why she’s coughing so much. Coughing is a COVID symptom. When can I send her back to school?

In order to keep the spread of COVID down, we ask that you have your primary care doctor send a letter to school letting us know this is the cause of the COVID-like symptoms. Otherwise, you must keep your student home until they have a negative COVID test and are feeling better and are fever  free for 24 hours  without using medication to reduce the fever OR  at least 10 days have passed since their symptoms started and they have had no symptoms for the last 24 hours..

What happens at school if you think my student has COVID symptoms?

If a student tells someone he or she is not feeling well, or if someone notices your student doesn’t seem well, we will ask if they are experiencing any of the listed COVID symptoms. We will also take their temperature, and have them wait in an isolation room until they can be picked up by a parent or emergency contact.

My student was home with COVID symptoms and tested negative. When can my student come back to school in person?

Your student will be allowed to come back to school for in person learning when they are feeling better and they have not had a fever for 24 hours without using any medication to reduce fever.  Your PCP should send a note to the school so we are aware of the negative test and that the student is cleared to return to school.
