The School District of Waterloo is seeking applications to fill a vacant Board position. Individuals who are U.S. citizens and 18 years of age or older, as defined in §6.02, Wisc. Stats. The candidate must live in AREA 3: Comprised of the City of Waterloo, Jefferson County and Sections 31, 32 and the part of Section 33 west of the Maunesha River, Town of Portland, Dodge County, including the Village of Portland. The term will run from the date of appointment to April 2020.
The board functions as a decision making body, providing policy and financial oversight to the district. The board seeks a collaborative individual, one who is able to represent and be open to diverse views, and interested in making a thoughtful and powerful contribution to the school district and the children it serves.
Declaration of Candidacy forms may be picked up at the Waterloo District Office, 813 N. Monroe St., Waterloo, WI 53594. To be considered for the position, the Declaration of Candidacy forms should be submitted to the School Board Clerk or Superintendent Brian Henning, School District Office, by 3:15 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019. It is highly recommended that you also include a letter of interest outlining your qualifications.
Candidates will appear at the regular board meeting of the Waterloo School Board at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019.
