Crisis Support Lines

  • For support through text message, text HOPELINE to 741741.  Hopeline's purpose is to offer emotional support and resources before situations rise to a crisis level. Hopeline serves anyone in any type of situation. Available throughout Wisconsin 24 hours a day and it is free. Texts are received by live, trained responders.
  • For YouthLine, call 877-968-8491 or text TEEN2TEEN to 839863.
  • For the National Parent Hotline, call 1-855- 4A PARENT (1-855-427-2736).
  • For Disaster Distress Line, call 1-800-985-5990.
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255). 24 hour, toll free confidential suicide prevention hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.
  • The Trevor Project Lifeline: 1-866-488-7386. Founded in 1998, the Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people ages 13-24.
  • Veterans Crisis Line: 1-800-273-8255, press 1. Staffed by responders who are trained and experienced in helping Veterans of all ages and circumstances. Online chat and text messaging are also available.
