Child development day is almost upon us. This day is for families to bring their three year olds in for developmental screening. It is also an opportunity for us to give you learning strategies. Please call Hayley Gunderson at 920-478-3633, x. 1124 to schedule your thirty minute appointment for October 7th between 1:00-5:00pm. Further information will be given to those who register for an appointment.

There is free COVID-19 testing in Reeseville on September 30 from 10 am to 6 pm.

The Waterloo School District annual meeting and budget hearing will be on Monday, September 28 at 6:30 pm. Click 'read more' for detailed information including the Google Meet link to attend.

On Monday, September 28th, 2020, there will be a special meal distribution for all PK-4 students that would have been attending class in person, and will now be virtual.

"The Capitol Conference is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff, and our communities. With that in mind, the Capitol Conference recommended on an 8-3 vote to move the fall sports seasons of Girls Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Boys Soccer, and Boys/Girls Cross Country to the spring in alignment with the plan passed by the WIAA."

Per guidance from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the District will evaluate compliance with the Wellness Policy no less than once every three years. The assessment will include the extent to which each school is in compliance with the policy and how the policy compares to a model policy, as established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Dane County Equity Consortium, a representative body of the school districts across Dane County and beyond, is committed to creating equitable opportunities and taking collective action against the deep-rooted institutionalized racism present throughout our society and in our schools. As a Consortium we want our school communities to know that we stand alongside our community members of color in condemning the death of George Floyd and the continued violence and use of excessive force against people of color - George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Christian Cooper, Breonna Taylor among the most recent. We are going to do a drive through yearbook pickup for students in grades 9-11 on June 3rd from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Please stop during that time and tell us your name. We will only be handing out yearbooks to family members ONLY. You will not be able to pick one up for someone else. Please support the Waterloo Fire Department this Friday, May 22, at 3:15 as the Waterloo Fire Department has a parade of trucks travel throughout the entire city of Waterloo to support the community, school, students, teachers, first responders, health care workers, essential workers, and all Waterloo residents. The event is a show of community support in the wake of the COVID 19 public health crises.

Seniors and 8th graders, drop off Chromebooks, chargers, cases, and library items under the Elementary canopy from 10-3pm Friday, May 22. Seniors will pick up caps and gowns and yearbooks, also. Click 'Read More' for school communications regarding more end of the year information.

Congratulations to the twenty-six, 2020 #WaterlooPirates scholars who have collectively acquired over $260k in scholarship funds! We are so proud of all the time and effort put in by each scholar to apply and receive these scholarship funds. We know that each dollar is well deserved and will be put to good use. The District's Internet issues earlier in the week were resolved after the installation of replacement hardware. All Internet access should be functioning normally as of Tuesday afternoon.

The District expects all of those signed up for meals on April 30, 2020 to be on the list for distribution this Thursday, May 7, 2020. We are asking that families call in and sign up for the remaining meals so we can get an updated and more accurate count for meal preparation.
